Mark your calendars, and save the date for the Fourth Annual Jim Neill Memorial Golf Tournament! Guests will tee off on Friday, August 15, at Eastmoreland Golf Course.
Building off of the success of the event over the past three years, the tournament promises a great day of golf, fun, food and prizes! The tournament will have a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. and will feature a “Scramble” format for golfers. Immediately following golf, there will be an Awards Luncheon featuring raffle prizes as well as a Silent Auction.
This year, the Portland’5 Centers for the Arts Foundation will again be the benefiting Charity. The Portland’5 Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to supporting the Keller Auditorium, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and Antoinette Hatfield Hall with the Newmark, Winningstad and Brunish Theatres 1994. Its work helps provide capital repairs and improvements to maintain high-quality venues that attract premiere performances, enriching our community and keeping our city vibrant.
Jim, a longtime Eastmoreland resident who passed away in 2010, was the first chairman of the Foundation. In 2013 the Tournament was able to donate $23,000 to the Foundation. With the help of players, donors and sponsors it is hoped even more will be donated this year.
The Jim Neill Memorial Foundation is sponsoring this event. It will be a fun event, celebrating Jim’s commitment to keeping community service alive. You can find out more details and register at www.JimNeill.org.
