Eastmoreland Garden Committee

Purpose:

The Eastmoreland Garden Committee oversees the maintenance of the city-owned Eastmoreland Garden, located at the corner of SE 27th Avenue and Bybee Blvd. The Eastmoreland Garden was an idea developed by community members and completed in 2004. The committee meets as needed.

The sale of Memorial Bricks, that are used to pave the garden, help to support its maintenance. They are available at the ENA Online Store.

News:

Oct. 12, 2022. Fifty Legacy Bricks, commissioned and purchased by the Eastmoreland Neighborhood Association, have been installed at Eastmoreland Garden. These red clay bricks replace the original concrete bricks whose engraving had deteriorated over many years. These first fifty bricks were originally placed in the Garden in 2001.

The Eastmoreland Neighborhood Association Board of Directors has committed to replacing fifty Legacy Bricks every year until all the original engraved bricks are fresh and new again. The next fifty will be ordered in January 2023. These new bricks will also replace bricks originally purchased in 2001.
