Welcoming Committee

The Eastmoreland Welcoming Committee was established as a Standing Committee of the Eastmoreland Neighborhood Association in the fall of 2020.

The Purpose and Mission:

Provide a warm welcome to all new Eastmoreland residents, both owners and renters, educate them about the neighborhood, introduce them to the community, and raise awareness on how to become involved in neighborhood activities.

The Committee will:

  • Communicate to new residents what makes their new neighborhood exceptional and unique by making them aware of formal and informal neighborhood events and places of interest.

  • Encourage new residents to join the ENA and sign up on the official ENA email list

  • Raise awareness  about how the community relies on and uses donations

  • Provide a list of existing online groups that share resources, i.e. babysitters, dog sitters, walkers, pediatricians, etc.

  • Provide a list of neighborhood schools, preschools, parks and dog parks

  • Provide unbiased information about the issues our community is facing

  • Provide a welcome packet for all new residents

  • Host a welcoming event when appropriate

The Welcome Packet includes:
